This publication reports the results of 18,832 procedures of assisted reproduction performed during the year 2002 and births which occurred up to the year 2003. This 13th edition of the registry includes data from 101 accredited/affiliated centers in 11 countries of the region. Some modifications were performed in this document in order to make it easier to read and comprehensible to a more extensive public. In this way, “Contents ” includes a list of issues with comments and illustrations that answer most of the frequent questions that an advanced reader, as a couple requiring orientation, may need for making personal decisions.
Tendencies of region, during the past 10 years, were also analyzed for promoting a better comprehension of the evolution of these medical procedures under the light of technoscientific advances.
